Getting Your Site Indexed by Google

Google Indexes what with My Site?
One thing you will begin to discover when you begin creating your own websites is that your site will not come up in Google Search for a certain period of time. One of you main goals should be to get your site picked up by all major search engines as this will really boost your organic traffic.

After I create a site, the following steps will usually help me get indexed within a few days which is quicker than most. NOTE: This is from my own experience, some people claim to be able to get index in google in a matter of hours using shady practices, this is a legit manner that has worked for me over the last few years.

Step 1: Use Google Apps
Google offers a wide variety of applications that not only help your website, but also help with getting your site indexed. I believe that if you are using googles application in conjunction with your websites, this will help expedite the indexing process. Another good thing is all of these Google Applications are free to use!

Step 2: Get Some Backlinks to Your Site from Popular Sites
Getting a link back to your site from a top level site can help up your indexing time. I like to use popular social networking sites to help achieve this such as:
